Pluto in Aquarius

Pluto enters Aquarius and it’s only just the beginning

We are having a teaser of what’s to come as Pluto is 00 degrees in Aquarius so the Pluto Capricorn influence is still very strong as Pluto will be popping back to Capricorn in June 2023, so it will be back and forth on the cusp before staying put in Aquarius in November 2024 until 2044.

I’d like to concentrate on this transitional stage we are in now, as we are going to witness a power shift and it’s important to be aware of the actions and reactions.

Looking in to history we will then be able to know what to expect in our world for the next twenty years.

Realising the patterns and algorithms are vital for us to understand the energies and transformative powers of Pluto in our present day.

Following a draconian and often hypocritical bout of Pluto in Capricorn. ( Bureaucracy, stability, government, institutional authorities). This is always followed by the retaliation of Pluto in Aquarius with societal transformations and the needing to break away, independence and freedom.

You will see here just like with the Pluto generations, there is a very definite pendulum swing from one extreme to another throughout history.

Pluto in Capricorn is a forced control from the top down, while offering a sense of apparent stability.

Pluto in Aquarius is a branching out of power, forcing change through crowds, society, organisations and subgroups offering an apparent freedom.

With this slow transit people will feel a weight lifted off of their shoulders. A change is as good as a rest, where before the pressure came form the top down, now you will see the pressure come from the sides until you master the energies from within.

It will be an exciting twenty years and coupled with the Uranus in Taurus we certainly will see transformations and upheavals in monetary and institutional systems, technology with weather and explorations beyond our world.

Wherever the Pluto in Capricorn is aspecting in your own personal astrological chart, there it has started to show you where your own ideals of authority will be transformed, often through the loss of cherished ideals of stability (your inner authority or externalised) seeing the roots of the situation.

Then comes the inevitable pendulum swing of wanting independence, individuality and freedom while Pluto is manifesting through Aquarius. You will become free in areas where you did not even know that you were not free.

Where you find Pluto you’ll also find the need for power, control and exposing in that area. This Pluto energy is a double edged sword that can be used for good or evil.

Now we will go in to the implications for the world in general, keeping in mind these aspects Pluto will make through it’s long stay in Aquarius will at various times influence certain individuals as well as countries indicated in their individual creation chart templates.

These historical examples of Pluto in Capricorn show the crossover of power, as the often authoritarian obsession of the authorities’ need for control has squeezed society so much that the inevitable reaction of the Pluto in Aquarius obsessive need for freedom erupts like a volcano.

Pluto the slow but thorough mover teaches well that nothing will stay buried and that the need for power always finds a way by any means.

* Keep in mind with the following dates, similar to this year the Pluto often goes retrograde.

In 13th century the Church’s authority had a solid, stable, structure of influence over society, although they did some terrible things like the genocide of the Cathars to maintain control.1209 -1229.

One of the inevitable reactions was the well organised Knights Templars with their groups, development of a societal way of organising the energy units as we would see as IOU bank notes of today.

This Knights Templar Pluto in Aquarius power was prevailing and undermined the Church’s influences and financial authority.

So this Pluto Aquarius energy erupted in 1307 as Pluto left Aquarius when the Knights Templars were sprung upon and disbanded.

A good astrologer can’t be fooled though, as Pluto entered Pisces.

The power and influence of the Knights Templars just morphed and hid deep. They may have been disbanded but their ideas and financial systems continued.

Meanwhile in 13th century Japan, Nichiren Daishonin the devoted buddhist monk ( 1222- 1282) was remonstrating with the authoritarian government ( Pluto in Capricorn). He was exiled following an attempted and extraordinary failed execution on him before finally retreating to live in a mountain range.

In 1286 Pluto entered Aquarius and so four years after the devoted Monk’s death his letters and teachings about the Lotus Sutra filtered through to society and went on to form various groups and organisations.

Again 1516 to 1532 Pluto was in Capricorn and the Church seemed to be the main authority over Europe.

So then Henry VIII dealt with this, seemingly utilising the Pluto entering Aquarius in 1532 until 1552.  In 1534 Henry VIII separated from the Roman Catholic Church ( Act of Supremacy).

At school we are often told it was because of Henry’s immense love for Anne Boleyn and needing an heir.  Nah… so much love he chopped off her head.

Looking at the astrology it seems he was more driven by organisations and possible fraternities that used well the Pluto in Aquarius freedom, independence and the power of organising as their primary strategy. We see the power shift here again that shows the motives were quite possibly to keep England and it’s organisations protected, separated and free from the governing authorities of the time.

Final example where I’m sure you’ve all heard this knocking about lately.

The American Revolutionary War of Independence 1775 –1783.

As the pattern shows us the Pluto Capricorn authoritarian stability and domination preceded the entry of Pluto entering Aquarius. 1777 -1797. A bit like squeezing one end of a balloon, inevitably it’s gonna pop.

During this massive upheaval we also saw over the pond in France, the power shift of Pluto ( Authority, stability) in Capricorn, to the Pluto in Aquarius  ( The power of the crowd, organisations, fraternities), showing the power of the revolting masses who saw the illogical, unfair, hypocritical standards that were being forced on them by the authorities and so the precisioned leaflets were distributed by the people. In 1793 King Louis XVI and Marie Antoinette were both Madam-Guillotined probably more because of their funding of the American Revolutionary War than the cake recommendations.

If you think about it you’ll see that the old battles are always revived.

So now you have the gist of what this power shift entails we can go on to this year 2023.

With the demonstrations in Israel and France now, realise this is just the start of what is to come.  As mentioned before retrograding Pluto returns to Capricorn in June, then it will settle in Aquarius in 2024.

We can safely assume, preceding the often ruthless, illogical and hypocritical rules the authorities gave to the people and possibly worse, now will be the time that these issues will be exposed and addressed.

In our lifetime we will witness a power shift.

Pluto transforms, exposes, digs up the often ugly truth, exposes what people prefer to hide.

Where Pluto is influencing it gives power to and this can be destructive, although always remember the purest lotus flower grows from the muddiest swamp. There is always an opportunity to evolve, using the difficulties as stepping stones.

So it would be wise to understand that when Pluto is in Aquarius for two decades, the power will be to the people, organisations, technology and societies.

It will expose corruption as it erupts within the existing established organisations and groups ( hidden or otherwise ) as it will bring about new subgroups,  revolutionary and transformative movements and organisations.

Also, civil wars, unrest, demonstrations and upheavals are likely too. Power will shift but always it’s about motive that brings the highest energies out of these planetary seasons.

Beware that the crowd could become too draconian also as they often become what they are trying to fight.

Pluto in Aquarius also shows that society will be transformed by innovative technology.realising also that the technology could be used to control the crowd.

Remember the Aquarius political energies requiring the equality of the masses but invariably a privileged controller is over seeing.

As I said, Pluto’s deep power always finds a way.

George Orwell’s ‘Animal farm’ comes to mind.

If one delves deep and utilises the new found realisations this transit offers, then it can be used to empower and refine the individual. Then such an individual will never get swayed by either the authoritative speech or the force of the crowd.

We are witnessing the same historical battles for control over this world taking in turns to swoop the crowds up in to their emotional whirlpools of polarity.

It will be an exciting twenty years and coupled with the Uranus in Taurus we certainly will see changes and upheavals with monetary systems, institutions and governments.

By the time Pluto starts leaving Aquarius in 2043, society and authority will be structured very differently. There will be localised town bureaucracies, governing and controlling with technology. Most police officers will be replaced by drones and the people could police each other.

The new generation of children born with Pluto in Aquarius will be unusual, individualistic and innovative. They could be quite emotionally detached and unpredictable. Innovative technology will be more so part of their lives and bodies. They will have a strong sense of community and respect the individuality of people.

Everyone will find something unique to offer the crowd as hidden potentials will surface.

Through this lengthy article, I’ve tried to show some patterns and algorithms I see over the many centuries.

It’s humbling to see how we seem like a droplet on a wave in the ocean, although we always have the choice to face upwards basking in the sunlight, or to face down looking at the mud.

Seeing the timely and often distracting trinkets offered to each astrological generation, I often wonder if there is a controlling force over humanity that already knows these algorithms.  Chicken or the egg?

Astrological seasons can be both prison bars and stepping stones. So it’s best to tap in to our eternal spirit, observe and try not to be played.
